Yesterday, lifelong Alaskan Mary Peltola hosted a meet and greet in Dillingham to speak directly with Alaskans about the issues most important to them and how she will fight for them as Alaska’s next U.S. Senator.
“Person-to-person, one conversation at a time, I’m traveling to every corner of our state because every Alaskan deserves a voice,” said Mary Peltola. “The skyrocketing cost of fuel, groceries, and housing is making it harder and harder for families in Dillingham and across our state to get by. As an independent voice for Alaska, I will stand up to anyone to restore our fisheries, always stand against the Pebble Mine, bring down costs on groceries and energy, and put Alaska first.”
At the meet and greet and in meetings with local community leaders and officials, Mary heard from Alaskans suffering the fallout of DC price hikes who are finding it harder and harder to afford gas and housing and make a life in Alaska. Across every conversation, the message from Alaskans is clear: the rigged system in DC is harming our Alaska way of life, and they want a senator who will actually bring down costs and put Alaska first.
This week’s visit follows Mary’s announcements of bold plans to lower costs, save our fish, boost oil and gas production, take care of our veterans, and fix the rigged system in DC that is harming our state, and comes as over 15,000 Alaskans have signed up to help elect Mary to the Senate.
