Yesterday, lifelong Alaskan Mary Peltola joined the NEA-Alaska Solidarity Summit in Anchorage to speak directly with members of NEA-Alaska about the issues most important to Alaska educators and education support professionals and how she will fight for them as Alaska’s next U.S. Senator.

“NEA-Alaska members are being forced to do more with less under crushing cuts from DC to public education,” said Mary Peltola. “It was a true privilege to hear from Alaska’s educators about how we can support the next generation of Alaska leaders, and as Alaska’s next Senator, I will stand up to anyone to ensure our educators have the tools they need to support Alaska students.”

Mary has been a steadfast champion for Alaska educators and working families. In the Senate, Mary will fight to cut taxes for hardworking Alaskans, increase wages for workers, bring down the cost of groceries, gas, housing, and childcare for Alaska working families, fix the rigged system in DC that prioritizes special interests over Alaska workers, make Alaska more affordable for Alaska working families, restore Alaska’s fisheries, and bring down energy costs by boosting oil and gas development.

Mary is endorsed by NEA-Alaska, the Alaska AFL-CIO, and Alaska AFGE.
