On Monday, lifelong Alaskan Mary Peltola joined a packed room of over 100 supporters at the grand opening of the Alaska First coordinated campaign’s first field office in Anchorage.
“This is a campaign for working people, this is not a campaign for billionaires,” said Mary Peltola. “It gives me so much hope to see so many Alaskans in here who are ready to talk to their friends and neighbors about what unites us and it’s because of you that we’re going to win this race and put Alaska first.”
At the event, Mary spoke directly to Alaskans about her vision to put Alaska first. She pledged to take on the rigged system in DC that allows self-dealing politicians to profit at Alaskans’ expense, and laid out her plan to fight for Alaska.
The energy in the room reflected a broader groundswell of support building across the state for Mary and her Alaska first campaign. More than 4,500 Alaskans signed up to volunteer for the campaign, and Mary is connecting with a wide array of Alaskans through her rural village tour and the campaign’s community service initiative. Monday’s enthusiastic crowd made one thing clear: Alaskans are fired up to send Mary Peltola to the Senate — because she’ll actually fight for them.
