Fights for Alaska’s fisheries and works to find solutions to keep our waters bountiful for generations to come and stand against industrial and foreign trawlers.
Fights for Alaska’s working families, making sure they have the support they need to put food on the table each day.
Helps make sure Regular Alaskan families can afford their homes, and afford to heat them during our long winters.
Knows that resource development in Alaska is the solution and pathway to our energy independence.
Prioritizes jobs for Regular Alaskans be it through job creation projects like Willow, or fighting to make certain that all Alaskans have the support they need to fight for increased workplace protections.
Stands with our servicemembers and veterans by passing legislation aimed at raising pay, protecting their rights, and combatting food insecurity among those who served.
Understands the importance of strengthening Social Security to make sure that all Alaskans can retire with dignity.

Mary Has DELIVERED ON:
Mary worked tirelessly to secure a ban on predatory foreign trawlers that have been poaching our fish and destroying our food sources. This effort is a milestone in pro-fish policy that will increase the value of Alaska catch and reduce bycatch.
Alongside the Alaska delegation, Mary brought home $46 million in funding to secure our Alaska border.
Mary sponsored the Native American Millennium Challenge Demonstration Act to provide economic development assistance to remote Alaska Native communities. Additionally, Mary has successfully lobbied HUD to change the formula for homelessness in Alaska to one that works for Alaska, not the Lower 48.
Mary cosponsored the Richard L. Trumka Protecting the Right to Organize Act of 2023 (PRO-Act) to expand various labor protections related to employees’ rights to organize and collectively bargain in the workplace. In December of 2022, Mary proudly stood by rail workers in their call for sick leave and and safer workplace. Additionally, Mary has worked with the Biden administration to ensure that promised labor protections are actually implemented in the workplace.
Mary supported the National Defense Authorization Act to give service-members the largest pay raise in over a decade while protecting the reproductive rights of service-members and their families.
Mary secured the largest investments in a renewable energy grid in U.S. history – investments that can allow 75% of Alaskans to be powered by 85% renewable energy by 2035.
Mary sponsored the INFANT Act to require the Department of Agriculture to allow infant food combinations and dinners to be served under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
Mary cosponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2023 to prohibit governmental restrictions on the provision of, and access to, abortion services. During her first full term, Mary voted against every gimmick and messaging bill designed to attack women and reproductive rights. Additionally, Mary worked closely with the Alaska delegation to make certain that servicemembers didn’t need to choose between taking the largest pay raise in decades and protecting healthcare rights.
Mary cosponsored the Protecting Access to Medication Abortion Act of 2023 to require the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure that patients may receive mifepristone through prescriptions issued via telehealth and filled by mail – access that is exceptionally important to rural Alaskans.
Mary worked alongside Senator Murkowski to sponsor the Unrecognized Southeast Alaska Native Communities Recognition and Compensation Act (Landless Legislation to end 50 years of unfulfilled promises to Alaska Native communities. Through their combined bipartisan efforts, Mary and Senator Murkowski have pushed landless legislation further than ever before.
Mary has worked to revise the Magnuson–Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act since her first day in Washington while building a bipartisan coalition in DC to protect our salmon runs from foreign and industrial trawling.
Mary has fought to connect our communities by securing over two billion dollars in infrastructure investment – such as broadband access, culvert replacements, and ferries.
Mary pressured President Biden to approve the Willow Project to bring stable, good-paying union jobs to Alaska workers and help bring down our energy costs and preserve the permanent fund to secure PFDs for generations to come.
Mary sponsored the Food Security for All Veterans Act to fight food insecurity amongst veterans in Alaska and nationwide – her first piece of legislation.
