Campaign receives support from every Alaska borough and census area
ALASKA – Today, Mary Peltola announced a record-breaking fundraising quarter, bringing in $8.9 million with contributions from every borough and census area in Alaska, with 95.1% of contributions being $100 or less – making this the largest first quarter raise of any U.S. Senate candidate in Alaska history.
“Alaskans know DC isn’t working for them, and they’re ready for change,” said Mary Peltola. “I’m so grateful for the support we’ve received from every single borough and census area across our state, and it’s that support that will bring us to victory this November. It’s going to take all of us, but together we’ll take on the rigged system in DC that’s hurting each and every one of these communities. We are going to put Alaska first.”
Mary saw an outpouring of grassroots support in Q1, receiving contributions from Alaska fishermen, farmers, teachers, nurses, firefighters, first responders, mechanics, arborists, pilots, boat captains, avalanche forecasters, crane operators, whale biologists, forest technicians, carpenters, miners, wildlife biologists, and railroad and marine engineers.
This announcement comes on the heels of unprecedented momentum for Mary’s Alaska first campaign, where more than 3,500 volunteers have now signed up to join the team. She recently launched a statewide community service initiative, mobilizing volunteers in a day of action to tackle hunger and homelessness, and just wrapped up the first leg of her rural village tour, aimed at engaging people in every single corner of Alaska.
