Today, lifelong Alaskan Mary Peltola spoke at the Alaska Federation of Natives Candidate Forum in Anchorage and laid out her plan to lower costs, restore abundance, and put Alaska first as Alaska’s next U.S. Senator.
Dan Sullivan refused to show up to the forum and answer to Alaskans for his record of spiking prices and putting Lower 48 special interests before Alaskans.
“No Alaskan should ever have to choose between heating their home and feeding their family, and that is exactly the predicament we’re in,” said Mary Peltola. “I will consistently work with the Alaska Federation of Natives and our Alaska Native communities on your priorities that ensure that we can attain abundance again.”
Mary has been a steadfast champion for Alaska Native communities – and in the U.S. Senate, she will prioritize restoring Alaska fisheries, fighting for subsistence rights, developing Alaska’s oil and gas, lowering the cost of housing and healthcare, funding public radio, fighting for the 8(a) program, championing landless legislation, and strengthening the Marine Highway System.
Today’s forum follows Mary’s announcements of bold plans to lower costs, save our fish, boost oil and gas production, take care of our veterans, and fix the rigged system in DC that is harming our state, and comes as over 17,000 Alaskans have signed up to help elect Mary to the Senate.
In the Senate, Mary will be an independent voice for Alaska and take on anyone, no matter their party, to make life better and more affordable for Alaska families.
