Mary at the Elders & Youth Conference in Anchorage
Today and yesterday, lifelong Alaskan Mary Peltola attended the First Alaskans Institute’s 43rd Annual Statewide Elders & Youth Conference in Anchorage, speaking with attendees about the issues most important to them and how she will fight for them as Alaska’s next U.S. Senator.
“It was great to speak to so many Alaskans from across our state at this year’s Elders & Youth conference,” said Mary Peltola. “Alaskans are ready for change, and together, we can lower costs, strengthen rural communities, and put Alaska first.”
Mary has been a steadfast champion for Alaska Native communities – and in the U.S. Senate, she will prioritize restoring Alaska fisheries, developing Alaska’s oil and gas, lowering the cost of housing and healthcare, funding public radio, fighting for the 8(a) program, championing landless legislation, and strengthening the Marine Highway System.
This week’s event follows Mary’s announcements of bold plans to lower costs, save our fish, boost oil and gas production, take care of our veterans, and fix the rigged system in DC that is harming our state, and comes as nearly 17,500 Alaskans have signed up to help elect Mary to the Senate.
