Mary Peltola decisively won the third U.S. Senate debate in Alaska at tonight’s Debate for the State, distinguishing herself as the only candidate who will bring down costs and put Alaska first as Dan Sullivan failed to defend his record of spiking prices and putting his own self interest before Alaskans.
“Young people are being priced out of Alaska as prices rise and abundance turns to scarcity; corporate greed and corruption have taken over DC; and Dan Sullivan has taken their side every step of the way,” said Mary Peltola in her closing statement. “You deserve a leader who will answer to you, who will put Alaska first – not their own personal stock portfolio.”
Mary is a lifelong Alaskan who knows the struggles Alaskans are facing because she’s lived them. In the debate, Mary laid out her bold plans to lower costs, save our fish, boost oil and gas production, take care of our veterans, and fix the rigged system in DC that is harming our state.
While Dan Sullivan’s popularity continues to decline after repeatedly supporting a price-hiking war in Iran which is harming Alaska, Mary has the grassroots momentum behind her. More than 15,000 Alaskans from over 160 different towns and communities across the state have signed up to help elect Mary, and she’s earned the endorsement of the Alaska AFL-CIO and AFGE.
In the Senate, Mary will be an independent voice for Alaska and take on anyone, no matter their party, to make life better and more affordable for Alaska families.
